يا قدَّسَ الله أَسْراَراً لأَخْيار

يا قدَّسَ الله أَسْراَراً لأَخْيار

ورَوَّح اللهُ أَرْواحاً لأَطْهارِ

ورَوَّح اللهُ أَرْواحاً لأَطْهارِ

Oh, may God sanctify the inner secrets of the virtuous,

O God, who has sanctified secrets for the virtuous,

And may God grant repose to the souls of the pure,

And has purified spirits for the pure,

كَمِثْلِ سُفْيانَ أوْ مِثْلِ الجُنَيْد أو ال

كَمِثْلِ سُفْيانَ أوْ مِثْلِ الجُنَيْد أو ال

سَرِيِّ أو مثل ذي الفَضْلِ ابن دينارِ

سَرِيِّ أو مثل ذي الفَضْلِ ابن دينارِ

Like Sufyan, or like al-Junayd, or al-

Like Sufyan, or Junayd, or Sari,

Sari, or like the virtuous Ibn Dinar,

Or Dhu al-Nun, or Ibn Dinar.

أو الفُضَيْل وبِشْرٍ وابنِ أَدْهَمَ والشّ

أو الفُضَيْل وبِشْرٍ وابنِ أَدْهَمَ والشّ

بْلي وأمْثالِهِمْ في حُسْن أخْبارِ

بْلي وأمْثالِهِمْ في حُسْن أخْبارِ

Or al-Fudayl and Bishr and Ibn Adham and al-Shi-

Or Fudayl, Bishr, Ibn Adham and Shibli -

bli and their like, of good repute.

And their likes in the goodness of news.

يا رَبِّ فاجْعَلْ لهذَا العَبْدِ بَيْنَهُمُ

يا رَبِّ فاجْعَلْ لهذَا العَبْدِ بَيْنَهُمُ

سَهْماً وإنْ كانَ مِنْ أَثْوابِهِمْ عارِي

سَهْماً وإنْ كانَ مِنْ أَثْوابِهِمْ عارِي

O my Lord, then grant this servant among them

O Lord, make for this servant among them

A share, even if he were bare of their robes.

A share, even if he is bare of their clothes.

واجْعَلْ سَرائِرَهُمْ تَأْتِي إلَيْهِ لَدى ال

واجْعَلْ سَرائِرَهُمْ تَأْتِي إلَيْهِ لَدى ال

حَاجَاتش في كُلِّ إيرادٍ وإصْدارِ

حَاجَاتش في كُلِّ إيرادٍ وإصْدارِ

And let their inner secrets come to him at the

And make their secrets come to him, in his

Times of need, in every bringing in and sending out.

Needs, in every income and outcome.
