إنْ لَمْ يَكنْ لي قيامُ صِدّقٍ

إنْ لَمْ يَكنْ لي قيامُ صِدّقٍ

بِنَشْرِ حَقٍّ ونَشْر عَدْلِ

بِنَشْرِ حَقٍّ ونَشْر عَدْلِ

If I do not take a sincere stand

If I have no truthful standing

by spreading truth and spreading justice,

By spreading truth and spreading justice,

فاجْذِبْ بلا مِحْنَةٍ فُؤادي

فاجْذِبْ بلا مِحْنَةٍ فُؤادي

إليْكَ حَتى أنالَ سُؤْلي

إليْكَ حَتى أنالَ سُؤْلي

then draw my heart, without affliction,

Then draw my heart to You without hardship

to You, until I attain my wish.

Until I attain my request,

وأَنْتَ يا رَبِّ ذُو اقْتِدارٍ

وأَنْتَ يا رَبِّ ذُو اقْتِدارٍ

تَجْمَعُ هَذيْنِ مِنّةً لِي

تَجْمَعُ هَذيْنِ مِنّةً لِي

And You, O Lord, possess power;

And You, O Lord, All Powerful,

You unite these two as a favor to me.

Will bring together these two as a favor to me.
