قَدْ نِلْتُ مِنْكَ جَزيلا

فَوْقَ الأَمَلْ والأَماني

I have received much from you,

I have received much from you

beyond hope and wishes.

Beyond my hopes and wishes

فاحْفَظْ عَلَيَّ وكُنْ لي

فاحْفَظْ عَلَيَّ وكُنْ لي

عَوْناً عَلَى ما عَنَاني

عَوْناً عَلَى ما عَنَاني

So preserve it for me, and be for me

So guard me still and be my aid

a help against what has troubled me.

Against the ills that plague me

اِرْفَعْ بِفَضْلِكَ شَاني

اِرْفَعْ بِفَضْلِكَ شَاني

عَلَى عَدُوٍّ وشانِي

عَلَى عَدُوٍّ وشانِي

By your grace, raise my standing

Exalt me by your grace, I pray

above an enemy and my detractor.

Above my envious rivals' sway
