باللهِ يا عَلَمَ الهُدَى

باللهِ يا عَلَمَ الهُدَى

سَلِّم عَلَى الْمَوْلَى عُمَرْ

سَلِّم عَلَى الْمَوْلَى عُمَرْ

By God, O banner of guidance,

By Allah, O banner of guidance

Convey greetings to the master, Umar,

Greet the Master, Umar

رَبِّ الفَضائِلِ والفَوا

رَبِّ الفَضائِلِ والفَوا

ضِلِ في الموارِدِ والصَّدَرْ

ضِلِ في الموارِدِ والصَّدَرْ

Master of virtues and generous

Lord of virtues and overflowing

Favors, at the watering places and on departure;

Generosity in gifts and the chest

فَرْدِ الشَّرِيعَةِ والحَقي

فَرْدِ الشَّرِيعَةِ والحَقي

قَةِ بَيْنَ أنْواعِ البَشَرْ

قَةِ بَيْنَ أنْواعِ البَشَرْ

Peerless in sacred law and spiritual

Unique in law and truth

Truth among all kinds of humankind;

Among all mankind

زَيْنِ المحافِلِ والْمَنَا

زَيْنِ المحافِلِ والْمَنَا

زِلِ فَرْدِها الفَرْدِ الأَبَرّ

زِلِ فَرْدِها الفَرْدِ الأَبَرّ

Adornment of gatherings and dwelling

Adornment of assemblies and homes

Places—their matchless one, the peerless, most righteous.

His unique, most righteous individuality

بالله قَبِّل كَفَّهُ

بالله قَبِّل كَفَّهُ

عَنّي وخَبِّرهُ الخَبَرْ

عَنّي وخَبِّرهُ الخَبَرْ

By God, kiss his hand

By Allah, kiss his palm

On my behalf, and tell him the news:

For me and inform him

أَنّي أَوَدُّ بِأَنْ تَمُدَّ

أَنّي أَوَدُّ بِأَنْ تَمُدَّ

بِدَعْوَةٍ تَقْضِي الوَطَرْ

بِدَعْوَةٍ تَقْضِي الوَطَرْ

That I wish for you to lend me aid

That I love that you extend

With a prayer that fulfills my desire,

A prayer fulfilling hopes

وتَقُولَ يارَبّاهُ كُنْ

وتَقُولَ يارَبّاهُ كُنْ

لِمُحَمّدٍ نِعْمَ الوَزَرْ

لِمُحَمّدٍ نِعْمَ الوَزَرْ

And say: 'O Lord, be

And say, "O his Lord, be

An excellent refuge for Muhammad;

For Muhammad the best vizier

اُنصُرْهُ في أَمْرٍ بمَعْ

اُنصُرْهُ في أَمْرٍ بمَعْ

رُوفٍ وإنكارِ النُّكُرْ

رُوفٍ وإنكارِ النُّكُرْ

Support him in enjoining what is

Help him in a matter of virtue

Right and denouncing wrong.'

And forbidding evil
