And the utmost I have gained from my inquiries

and from my reflection, after long contemplation,

is to halt between the two paths in bewilderment.

What knowledge, then, has one who has found nothing but perplexity?

Yet I have indeed plunged into its depths,

and my soul would settle for nothing less than plumbing the depths.
