لا تُنكرَنَّ من الأنامِ تَفَاوُتاً

لا تُنكرَنَّ من الأنامِ تَفَاوُتاً

إذ كان ذا عَبداً وذلك سَيِّدَا

إذ كان ذا عَبداً وذلك سَيِّدَا

Never deny the differences among humankind,

Deny not within mankind inequality

since this one is a slave and that one a master.

Where one is bondman and another lord

فالنَّاسُ مثلُ الأرضِ منها بُقعَةٌ

فالنَّاسُ مثلُ الأرضِ منها بُقعَةٌ

تلقَى بها خَبَثاً وأُخرى مَسجِدا

تلقَى بها خَبَثاً وأُخرى مَسجِدا

For people are like the earth: one patch of it

For people are as plots of earth, some good

is where you find filth, and another is a mosque.

And some made mosque, while others ill afford
