ذا ضريحٌ يسقيه غَيْثُ حنانٍ

ذا ضريحٌ يسقيه غَيْثُ حنانٍ

ورِضاءٌ مِنَ الرّحيمِ الكريمِ

ورِضاءٌ مِنَ الرّحيمِ الكريمِ

This is a tomb watered by rain of compassion,

A shrine watered by the rain of tenderness,

and favor from the Merciful, the Generous.

And the pleasure of the Merciful, the Generous.

هوَ رَوضٌ مِنَ الجنانِ فَسيحٌ

هوَ رَوضٌ مِنَ الجنانِ فَسيحٌ

مُزهِرٌ بِالرّضوانِ وَالتكريمِ

مُزهِرٌ بِالرّضوانِ وَالتكريمِ

It is a spacious garden among the gardens of Paradise,

It is a garden of paradise, so spacious,

blooming with divine favor and honor.

Blossoming with contentment and honor.

حَلَّ فيه مُحمّدٌ نَجلُ زَين

حَلَّ فيه مُحمّدٌ نَجلُ زَين

مِن بَني عزّ الدّينِ أَهلِ الفهومِ

مِن بَني عزّ الدّينِ أَهلِ الفهومِ

Here rests Muhammad, son of Zayn,

Muhammad settled there, the son of Zein,

of the descendants of Izz al-Din, people of understanding.

Of the eminent family of wisdom.

قلتُ في تَأريخي لَه حازَ قُرباً

قلتُ في تَأريخي لَه حازَ قُرباً

وَقَبولاً في جنّةٍ وَنَعيمِ

وَقَبولاً في جنّةٍ وَنَعيمِ

In my chronogram for him, I said: he attained nearness

I said in my elegy for him, he attained proximity

and acceptance in Paradise and bliss.

And acceptance into a garden and bliss.
