The garden's narcissus does not resemble the eye.

What eyes can compare to her eyes in the garden

Do not wade into making that comparison.

Do not venture to compare them, do not digress

فَالحُسنُ وَالغنجُ ثمّ السّحرُ مِن حَوَرٍ

فَالحُسنُ وَالغنجُ ثمّ السّحرُ مِن حَوَرٍ

في نَرجِسِ العَينِ لا في نَرجِسِ الروضِ

في نَرجِسِ العَينِ لا في نَرجِسِ الروضِ

For beauty and coquetry, then the enchantment born of dark irises against white,

For beauty, charm, and magic from a houri

Lie in the eye's narcissus, not in the garden's narcissus.
