ياO طيبَsweetness هَذاthis الحَوضِthe basin فيin نَفَحاتِهِits fragrant wafts
يا طيبَ هَذا الحَوضِ في نَفَحاتِهِ
فَلَقَدfor indeed حَكىresembled بِالنّشرِin fragrance مِسْكاًmusk أَذفراintensely fragrant
فَلَقَد حَكى بِالنّشرِ مِسْكاً أَذفرا
Oh, how sweet are this basin's fragrant wafts!
O goodness, this basin in its exhalations
For its fragrance is indeed like intensely scented musk.
Has certainly narrated musk through its sprinkling
فَكَأَنّهُso it is as though بِبِنائِهِin its construction مِنfrom نَظمِهِits ordered design

قَدindeed طابَwas pleasant شُرباًto drink حيثُsince راقَwas clear زُلالُهits pure water
قَد طابَ شُرباً حيثُ راقَ زُلالُه
وَلَقَدand indeed حَلاwas pleasing أرَّختهI recorded its date ليto me مَنظَراin appearance
وَلَقَد حَلا أرَّخته لي مَنظَرا
