يا من يجيب السائلين — Mufti Fathallah

يا مَن يُجيبُ السائلينْ

وَأَنتَ خَيرُ النّاصرينْ

O You who answer those who ask,

And You are the best of helpers,

اِنصُر لَنا مَليكَنا

وَكُن لَهُ أَنتَ المُعينْ

Grant victory to our king,

And be his helper.

إِلَيكَ رَبِّ نَخضَعُ

بِذِلَّةٍ وَنَخشعُ

To You, my Lord, we submit,

In humility, and we bow reverently;

وَبِالدّعاءِ نَرفعُ

لَكَ الأكفَّ خاضِعين

And in prayer we raise

Our hands to You, humbly.

يا مَنْ يُجيبُ مَن دَعا

وَبِالقَبول طَمعا

O You who answer whoever calls,

Hoping for acceptance,

حاشاكَ مِن بعدِ الدّعا

بِأَن نُردَّ خائِبينْ

Far be it from You, after our prayer,

That we should be turned away disappointed.

بِالذّاتِ بِالصفاتِ

وَالكتبِ وَالآياتِ

By the Divine Essence and the attributes,

And the books and the signs,

يا سامِعَ الأَصواتِ

اِنصُر جُيوشَ المُسلمين

O Hearer of voices,

Grant victory to the armies of the Muslims.

يا رَبِّ بِالأَسماءِ

يا مُوْلِيَ الآلاءِ

My Lord, by the names,

O Giver of blessings,

يا رافِعَ السّماءِ

أَيِّد جنودَ المُؤمنين

O Raiser of the sky,

Strengthen the soldiers of the believers.

بِالمُصطَفى المُختارِ

بِآلِهِ الأَطهارِ

By the Chosen One, the Elect,

By his pure family,

بِصحبِهِ الأَخيارِ

أَهلِكْ جُيوشَ الكافرين

By his virtuous companions,

Destroy the armies of the unbelievers.

بِالأَنبِيا وَالمُرسَلين

وَالعُلَماءِ العامِلينْ

By the prophets and messengers,

And the scholars who act on their knowledge,

وَالأَولِيا وَالصّالحينْ

عَجِّلْ بِنَصرِ المُؤمنين

And the saints and the righteous,

Hasten victory for the believers.

يا ربِّ بالملائِكِ

بِالمُتّقي وَالناسكِ

My Lord, by the angels,

By the God-fearing and the devout,

بِالنّصرِ فَضلاً دارِكِ

عَساكِر المُوحّدين

Graciously come with victory to the aid of

The armies of those who affirm God's oneness.

بِالنّصرِ جُدْ وأَنعِمِ

بِالمُصطَفى المُعَظّمِ

Bestow victory and favor,

By the revered Chosen One,

وَبَيتِكَ المُحرَّمِ

وَاِنصُر إِمامَ المُسلمين

And by Your Sacred House,

And grant victory to the leader of the Muslims:

سُلطانَنا مَحمودا

مَليكَنا المَسعودا

Our Sultan Mahmud,

Our fortunate king.

أَدِمْ لَهُ السّعودا

وَاِحفَظهُ ربَّ العالمين

Keep his good fortune lasting,

And protect him, Lord of the worlds.

خَليفَة الربِّ الجَليلْ

وَظِلّه لَنا الظّليلْ

The vicegerent of the majestic Lord,

And His sheltering shade for us;

فَكُن لَهُ أَنتَ الكَفيلْ

يا رَبّنا في كلِّ حِين

So be his guardian,

Our Lord, at every moment.

سَدِّدْ لَهُ آراءَهُ

كُن مُهلِكاً أَعداءَهُ

Guide his judgments aright;

Be the destroyer of his enemies,

وَمانِحاً لواءَهُ

بِالنَّصرِ وَالفَتحِ المُبين

And grant his banner

Victory and a manifest conquest.

بِنَصرِ دينِك القَويمْ

قَد قامَ في قَلبٍ سَليمْ

For the victory of Your upright religion,

He has risen with a sound heart.

أَعِنْهُ يا رَبّي الكَريمْ

لِنَصرِ دينِكَ المَتين

Help him, my generous Lord,

To champion Your steadfast religion.

لِدينك الصّحيح غَرْ

بِالنّصرِ يا رَبَّ البشرْ

For Your true religion, show zeal;

Grant victory, O Lord of humankind.

لا تَجعلنَّ مَنْ كَفَرْ

بِالمُؤمِنينَ ظافِرين

Never let those who disbelieve

Prevail over the believers.

قَومٌ عَلَينا قَد بَغَوْا

وَبِالفَسادِ قَد طَغَوْا

A people have transgressed against us,

And have gone too far in corruption,

وَلِلضّلالِ قَد صَغَوْا

وَحارَبونا مُعتَدينْ

And have inclined toward error,

And have fought us as aggressors.

قَد نَقَضوا عُهودَهم

وَأَخلَفوا وُعودَهم

They have broken their covenants,

And failed to keep their promises.

رَبِّ أَزِلْ وُجودَهم

وَاِجعَلهُمُ بِالهالكين

My Lord, remove them from existence,

And count them among the destroyed.

جَرِّد بِهِم سَيفَ اِنتِقامْ

فَإِنّهم قَومٌ لِئامْ

Unsheathe against them a sword of vengeance,

For they are a base people.

لَم يَحفَظوا لَنا الذّمامْ

أَضحَوْا عَلَينا خارِجين

They did not honor their pledge to us;

They have risen against us.

نكِّسْ لَنا أَعلامَهم

زَلزِل بِهم أَقدامَهم

Lower their banners for us;

Make their feet tremble;

بِسَيفِنا اِقطَع هامَهم

وَمِنهُمُ اِقطَعِ الوَتين

With our sword, cut off their heads,

And sever their vital arteries.

يَتِّم بِنا أَطفالَهُمْ

أَفنِ بِنا رِجالَهم

Make their children orphans through us;

Bring their men to an end through us;

قَصِّر بِنا آجالَهم

بِالمُصطَفى طَه الأَمين

Cut short their lives through us,

By the Chosen One, Taha the Trustworthy.

يا رَبِّ خَرِّبْ دارَهم

يا رَبِّ أَطفِئْ نارَهم

My Lord, ruin their homes;

My Lord, extinguish their fire;

وَاِمحُ بِنا آثارَهُم

دَمِّرْ عَلَيهِم أَجمَعين

And erase their traces through us;

Bring destruction upon them all.

شَتِّتْ بِنا آراءَهُم

رَمِّل لَنا نِساءَهم

Scatter their plans through us;

Make their women widows for us;

عَجِّل بِنا فَناءَهم

وَاِجعَلهُمُ مُجَندَلين

Hasten their end through us;

And leave them fallen on the ground.

يا رَبِّ بَدِّدْ شَملَهُم

يا رَبِّ عَجِّل قَتلَهُم

My Lord, scatter their ranks;

My Lord, hasten their killing;

يا رَبِّ قَرِّب جَعلَهُم

غَنيمَة لِلمُسلِمين

My Lord, hasten the time when they become

Spoils for the Muslims.

يا رَبِّ فَرِّق جَمعَهُم

يا رَبِّ والِ قَمعَهم

My Lord, disperse their gathering;

My Lord, continue their suppression;

يا رَبِّ عَجِّل قَطعَهم

بِسَيفِ جَيشِ المُؤمِنين

My Lord, hasten their destruction

By the sword of the believers' army.

يا رَبِّ بِالصّواعِقِ

وَبِالعَذابِ الساحِقِ

My Lord, with thunderbolts,

And with crushing punishment,

وَبِالبَلاءِ الماحِقِ

خُذهم إِلَهي أَجمَعين

And with devastating affliction,

Seize them all, my God.

عَلَيهِمُ سَوطَ العَذابْ

صُبَّ وَواصِلِ العِقابْ

Upon them, the scourge of torment

Pour, and continue the punishment;

وَاِجعَلهُمُ يَوم الحِرابْ

مِنّا مَخافاً حائِرين

And on the day of battle, make them

Afraid of us and bewildered.

جُدْ رَبِّ في إِحراقِهم

كَذاكَ في إِغراقِهم

Be generous, my Lord, in burning them,

And likewise in drowning them.

يا رَبِّ في أَعناقِهم

مَكِّنْ سُيوفَ المُسلِمين

My Lord, against their necks

Give power to the swords of the Muslims.

وَاِجعَل لَهُم تَدبيرَهم

مُستعقباً تَدميرَهم

And make their own plotting

Bring about their destruction;

صَيِّر بِهِ مَصيرَهم

إِلى الهَلاكِ صائِرين

By it, turn their fate

Toward ruin.

يا رَبّنا رَبّ العِبادْ

مِنهُم فَطَهِّرِ البِلادْ

Our Lord, Lord of all people,

Cleanse the land of them;

خُذهُم كَما أَخَذْتَ عادْ

مِنَ القرونِ السّالِفين

Seize them as You seized ʿĀd,

Among the peoples of old.

إِلَهَنا إِلَهَنا

أَنعِمْ عَلَينا بِالهَنا

Our God, our God,

Bless us with happiness,

بِما لَنا هوَ المنى

وَذاكَ نَصرُ المُؤمِنين

With what we desire:

The victory of the believers.

وَاِنصُر ذَوي الإِيمانِ

عَلى أُولي الطّغيانِ

And grant victory to those of faith

Over those given to tyranny,

وَالكفرِ وَالعدوانِ

المُلحِدينَ الخَاسرين

And unbelief and aggression,

The deniers, the losers.

يا رَبَّنا أَنتَ السّلامْ

جُد بِالصّلاةِ وَالسّلامْ

Our Lord, You are Peace;

Bestow blessings and peace

عَلى الّذي كانَ الخِتامْ

لِلأَنبِيا وَالمُرسَلين

Upon the one who was the last

Of the prophets and messengers:

مُحمّد خَير الأَنامْ

وَآلهِ الغُرِّ الكِرامْ

Muhammad, the best of humankind,

And his radiant, noble family,

وَصَحبِهِ الصحبِ العِظام

مَن شرَّفوا لِلتابِعين

And his companions, those great companions

Who brought honor to the followers.

وَاِغفِر لَنا ذُنوبَنا

وَاِستُر لَنا عُيوبَنا

And forgive us our sins;

And conceal our faults;

فَرِّجْ لَنا كُروبَنا

فَأَنتَ خَير الرَّاحِمين

Relieve us of our sorrows,

For You are the most merciful.

أَحسِن لَنا مِنكَ الخِتامْ

وَنَجِّنا يَومَ الزِّحام

Grant us a good end from You,

And save us on the Day of Crowding,

بِأَشرَفِ الرُّسلِ الكِرامْ

وَبِالكِرامِ الكَاتِبين

By the noblest of the honored messengers,

And by the noble recording angels.
