Sol 6.1

  1. يا دُرَّ ثَغرِ حَبيبي

    أَزرى الجمانَ نَظيما

    O pearls of my beloved’s mouth,

    you put strung pearls to shame.

  2. لَكَ العَقيُ مُؤاوٍ

    كُن بِالعَقيقِ رَحيما

    The gold gives you shelter;

    be merciful to the carnelian.

  3. وَلا تَعُضَّ عَلَيهِ

    بِالعَضِّ يَبدو كَليما

    And do not bite upon it:

    through biting, it appears wounded.

  4. وَلَم يَصُنكَ وَيَحرُس

    أَلَم يَجِدكَ يَتيما

    And did it not protect and guard you?

    Did it not find you an orphan?
