رَبِّ اِجْزِ بِالخيرِ سُليمانَنا

رَبِّ اِجْزِ بِالخيرِ سُليمانَنا

فَذاكَ عينُ الوزراءِ الكِرامْ

فَذاكَ عينُ الوزراءِ الكِرامْ

O my Lord, reward our Sulayman with goodness.

O Lord, reward our Solomon with goodness,

For he is the choicest of the noble ministers.

For he is the eye of the honourable ministers.

للَّهِ شادَ سَلسبيلاً لَنا

للَّهِ شادَ سَلسبيلاً لَنا

بِمائِهِ العَذبِ شِفاءُ السّقامْ

بِمائِهِ العَذبِ شِفاءُ السّقامْ

For God, he built a Salsabil fountain for us.

He built for us an easy path,

In its sweet water is a cure for illness.

With its sweet water a cure for the sick.

وَكَم بَنى حَوضاً لَنا مِثلَهُ

وَكَم بَنى حَوضاً لَنا مِثلَهُ

أَحَلَّهُ اللَّهُ بِدارِ السّلامْ

أَحَلَّهُ اللَّهُ بِدارِ السّلامْ

And many a basin like it he built for us.

And how many such cisterns has he built for us,

May God lodge him in the Abode of Peace.

May God allow him to reside in the Abode of Peace.

فَأَحْسِنِ اللهُمَّ ما قَد مَضى

فَأَحْسِنِ اللهُمَّ ما قَد مَضى

أَرّخته بَل جُدْ بِحُسنِ الختامْ

أَرّخته بَل جُدْ بِحُسنِ الختامْ

So make good, O God, what has passed.

So, O God, make good that which has passed,

I dated it: ‘Rather, bestow a good ending.’

I have recorded it, rather conclude with a good ending.
