عَلَيكyou must بِكَتمِconceal السرِّthe secret وَاِحذَرand beware ظُهورَهُits coming to light
عَلَيك بِكَتمِ السرِّ وَاِحذَر ظُهورَهُ
فَمِنهُfor among them الّذيthat which إِفشاؤُهُits disclosure لَكَto you قاتِلُfatal
فَمِنهُ الّذي إِفشاؤُهُ لَكَ قاتِلُ
Keep the secret hidden, and beware its coming to light.
For among secrets is one whose disclosure is fatal to you.
فَلَوfor if لَمdid not يَبُحdivulge وَردُthe rose الرّياضِthe gardens بِسرّهِof its secret
فَلَو لَم يَبُح وَردُ الرّياضِ بِسرّهِ
لَماthen would not سُلِّطتhave been unleashed مِنّاby us عَلَيهِupon it الأناملُthe fingertips
لَما سُلِّطت مِنّا عَلَيهِ الأناملُ
For had the rose of the gardens not divulged its secret,
our fingertips would not have been set upon it.
