إِنَّ التّغابي في اللَّبيبِ فَطانةٌ

إِنَّ التّغابي في اللَّبيبِ فَطانةٌ

وَأَخو التَّغابي لَم يذلَّ ويرفعُ

وَأَخو التَّغابي لَم يذلَّ ويرفعُ

Indeed, feigning foolishness in a wise person is shrewdness.

Ingenuity in the sensible is wisdom

And one who feigns foolishness is not abased, and is exalted.

And the brother of ingenuity was not humiliated and exalted

إِنَّ الغَباوةَ لم تَكن بمضرةٍ

إِنَّ الغَباوةَ لم تَكن بمضرةٍ

إِنّ الغباوةَ لم تضرَّ وتنفعُ

إِنّ الغباوةَ لم تضرَّ وتنفعُ

Indeed, foolishness has not been harmful.

Indeed foolishness was not harmful

Indeed, foolishness has done no harm and brings benefit.

Indeed foolishness did not harm and benefit
