How lovely the dome of a pool, now erected

above it, soaring high—what a fine structure!

So it is like a lofty palace, risen high,

and the water shelters beneath its shade.

It shields it from cold and from heat, so no

    sunlight sparkles through its openings.

So perform ablution, for the water has begun to say:

“How blessed is he”—I recorded the date—“who performs ablution with me!”
