His side-whiskers turned gray, and their black hair turned white.
Her cheeks grew rosy and her black hair whitened,
So their freshness made me more infatuated with them.
Increasing my passion for her in her bloom.

Yet he has not turned gray; rather, the sun of beauty has set
But the sun of her beauty has not declined,
Beneath his cheek-hair, while its rays rise above it.
It only set beneath her excuses, its rays rising above them.
