رَمَىhe shot كَبِديmy liver الحَرَّىburning بِنَبلِwith the arrows of جُفونِهِhis eyelids
رَمَى كَبِدي الحَرَّى بِنَبلِ جُفونِهِ
فَذابَso it melted كَمِثلِjust like المَاءِwater فيin كَبِديmy liver الحَرّىburning
فَذابَ كَمِثلِ المَاءِ في كَبِدي الحَرّى
He struck my burning liver with the arrows of his eyelids;
so they melted like water in my burning liver.
تَصاعَدَrose مِنهاfrom it لِلعُيونِto the eyes لَطِيفهits subtle essence
تَصاعَدَ مِنها لِلعُيونِ لَطِيفه
فَأَلقَتهُso they shed it مِنfrom بِعدafter اِستَحالَتِهِits transformation درّاpearls
فَأَلقَتهُ مِن بِعد اِستَحالَتِهِ درّا
Their subtle essence rose from it to the eyes,
which shed it as pearls after its transformation.
