سَفَكت دَمَ العُشّاقِ في عَضبِ مُقلَتي

وَقَد خُضته حتّى صَبغت ثِيابي

I shed the lovers' blood with the keen blade of my eye,

I shed the blood of lovers in the wrath of my eyelashes,

and indeed I waded through it until I dyed my garments."

And I dyed it until I dyed my clothes."
