كلُّ شَيءٍ أَرَدت أَو تَبتَغيهِ

فَهوَ عِندَ العطّار يوجدُ مِنهُ

Everything you wanted or seek—

Everything you wish for or desire

some of it is to be found at the perfumer’s;

Can be found in the perfumer's store

غَيرَ أَنّ الحبّ الّذي فيه وُدٌّ

غَيرَ أَنّ الحبّ الّذي فيه وُدٌّ

لَم يَكُن عِندهُ بِغَصبٍ عَنهُ

لَم يَكُن عِندهُ بِغَصبٍ عَنهُ

except for love in which there is affection:

Except for love filled with affection

it was not to be had from him by force.

It cannot be found there by force
