وَبيand within me وَجههُhis face قَدindeed صَفاhas grown pure حُسنهits beauty
وَبي وَجههُ قَد صَفا حُسنه
وَذاكَand that هوَit الشّمسthe sun فيهِin it أَهيمُI am enraptured
وَذاكَ هوَ الشّمس فيهِ أَهيمُ
And within me is his face, its beauty grown pure;
His face shone bright with beauty
And that is the sun, with which I am enraptured.
The sun itself pales next to him
فَإِنso if قابَلتهfaces it السّماءُthe sky ففيهِthen in it
فَإِن قابَلته السّماءُ ففيهِ
تَرىyou see الشّمسَthe sun وَالبدرَand the full moon ثمَّthen النّجومُthe stars
تَرى الشّمسَ وَالبدرَ ثمَّ النّجومُ
So if the sky faces it, then in it
When the sky gazes upon him
You see the sun and the full moon, then the stars.
It sees the sun, the moon, and all the stars
