وَإِذا قَصَدتَ إِلى الكرامِ بِحاجَةٍ

وَإِذا قَصَدتَ إِلى الكرامِ بِحاجَةٍ

تَلقى الكرامَ مَفاتِحَ الحاجاتِ

تَلقى الكرامَ مَفاتِحَ الحاجاتِ

And when you turn to the generous with a need,

When you approach the generous with a need

you find the generous are the keys to meeting needs.

You find the generous to be keys to your needs

وَإِذا قَصَدتَ إِلى اللّئامِ بِحاجَةٍ

وَإِذا قَصَدتَ إِلى اللّئامِ بِحاجَةٍ

أَصبَحتَ تَرجوها مِنَ الأمواتِ

أَصبَحتَ تَرجوها مِنَ الأمواتِ

And when you turn to the ignoble with a need,

But when you approach the ignoble with a need

you end up hoping for it from the dead.

You end up begging it from the dead
