وَلَمّا سَريتَ إِلى القدسِ تَبغي

وَلَمّا سَريتَ إِلى القدسِ تَبغي

زِيارَتَهُ نِلتَ برَّ الكريمِ

زِيارَتَهُ نِلتَ برَّ الكريمِ

And when you journeyed by night to Jerusalem, seeking

to visit it, you gained the favor of the Generous One.

سَرَيتَ إِلَيهِ بِقَومٍ كرامٍ

سَرَيتَ إِلَيهِ بِقَومٍ كرامٍ

كَأَنّكَ بدرٌ سَرَى بالنجومِ

كَأَنّكَ بدرٌ سَرَى بالنجومِ

You journeyed there by night with noble companions,

as though you were a full moon traveling by night with the stars.
