وَيَوم رَأَيت السّحبَ فيهِ تَراكَمَت

وَيَوم رَأَيت السّحبَ فيهِ تَراكَمَت

وَمِنها أَرى حبّ الغَمامِ قَدِ اِنصَبّا

And on a day when I saw the clouds gather,

The day I saw the clouds accumulating

And from them I see grains of hail pouring down,

And from them I saw the rain of the clouds pouring down

تَوارَت بِها شَمسُ الضّحى عَن عُيونِنِا

تَوارَت بِها شَمسُ الضّحى عَن عُيونِنِا

وَرَشَّت عَلَينا السّحبُ لُؤْلؤُها الرّطبا

وَرَشَّت عَلَينا السّحبُ لُؤْلؤُها الرّطبا

The morning sun was hidden by them from our eyes,

The midday sun hid from our eyes

And the clouds sprinkled their moist pearls upon us.

And the clouds sprinkled on us their moist pearls
