وَأَوقَعتُ تَقبيلي بِوَسطِ خُدودِها

وَأَوقَعتُ تَقبيلي بِوَسطِ خُدودِها

وَأَجريتُ تَقبيلي عَلى ذَلك النّمط

وَأَجريتُ تَقبيلي عَلى ذَلك النّمط

And I planted my kisses in the middle of her cheeks.

I placed my kiss upon her cheeks' center

And I continued my kissing in that fashion.

And drew my kiss along that line.

فَقالَت لِمَ التّقبيلُ في وَسطِ وَجنَتي

فَقالَت لِمَ التّقبيلُ في وَسطِ وَجنَتي

فَقُلتُ لَها إِنّ الحَلاوَةَ في الوَسط

فَقُلتُ لَها إِنّ الحَلاوَةَ في الوَسط

So she said, “Why kiss the middle of my cheek?”

She asked, “Why kiss mid-cheek?”

So I told her, “Indeed, sweetness is in the middle.”

I said, “Sweetness is found inside.”
