وَأَغيدُand a graceful youth فيon خَدِّهhis cheek خالُهhis mole
وَأَغيدُ في خَدِّه خالُه
مِنbecause of حُسنِهِhis beauty البدرُthe full moon غَداhas begun يَختَفيto hide
مِن حُسنِهِ البدرُ غَدا يَختَفي
And a graceful youth, with his mole upon his cheek—
Because of his beauty, the full moon has begun to hide.
لِلحُسنِfor beauty أَضحىhas become خَدّهhis cheek مُصحفاًa Qur’an volume
لِلحُسنِ أَضحى خَدّه مُصحفاً
وَخالهُand his mole النّقطةthe dot فيin المصحَفِthe Qur’an volume
وَخالهُ النّقطة في المصحَفِ
His cheek has become beauty’s Qur’an,
and his mole the dot in that Qur’an.
