الحب قائده والشوق سائقه

إليك يا ماجداً جلت مناقبه

Love guides him, and longing drives him

Love is his guide and yearning his driver

To you, O noble one whose virtues are so great

To you, O glorious one, whose merits are exalted

حتى غدا فائق الأقران في أدبٍ

حتى غدا فائق الأقران في أدبٍ

وحسن رأي وعقل جل واهبه

وحسن رأي وعقل جل واهبه

That he has come to surpass his peers in refinement,

Until he surpassed his peers in politeness

And in sound judgment and intellect—exalted is its Giver.

And good opinion, intellect, majesty and his Giver

مهذب الطبع محموداً شمائله

مهذب الطبع محموداً شمائله

محبه لم تخب يوماً مذاهبه

محبه لم تخب يوماً مذاهبه

Refined in disposition, with praiseworthy traits;

Of refined nature, his traits praiseworthy

His lover’s endeavors have never failed.

His love never wavered from its ways

دامت نجابته محروسة وله

دامت نجابته محروسة وله

الجد يخدم والإقبال صاحبه

الجد يخدم والإقبال صاحبه

May his nobility endure, protected, while

May his success remain protected and for him

Fortune serves him and prosperity is his companion.
