Do you not see the blossoms upon their hills,
Behold the flowers as they grow
as though they were my unblemished heart?
As if it were my heart, so pure

As though their tender, bending branches were—
As if its swaying branches
this one a guardian, and that one an orphan.

They have fallen in love, just as you see us:
One is healthy, one is frail
this one healthy, and that one ailing.
And when in anger it does bend

يُصلحُ ما بينهما النسيمُ
And whenever they bend in anger,

the breeze sets things right between them.
