يزداد لؤماً على المديحِ كما
يزدادُincreases نتنُthe stench الكلابِof dogs بالمطرِwith rain
يزدادُ نتنُ الكلابِ بالمطرِ
He grows baser with praise, just as
the stench of dogs grows stronger with rain.
إنَّindeed الذيthe one who يرتجيhopes for نداكyour bounty لكto you
إنَّ الذي يرتجي نداك لك
لغاسلِsurely one washing منfrom ثوبِهِhis garment خراًexcrement بخرِwith excrement
لغاسلِ من ثوبِهِ خراً بخرِ
Indeed, whoever hopes for your bounty is to you
like one washing excrement from his garment with excrement.
