حمدنا الله ربّ العالمينا

على توفيقه يا سامعينا

We praise Allah, Lord of the Worlds

For His guidance, O listeners

وصلّينا على المختار طه

إمام الأنبياء والمرسلينا

And pray upon the Chosen one, Taha

The Imam of prophets and messengers

كذاك الآل والأصحاب جمعاً

نجوم بل رجوم المعتدينا

And so too his family and companions all together

Stars, nay missiles, against the transgressors

رحلنا من بخا في صدق عزم

لبيت الله حقّاً وافدينا

We departed from Bukha with true determination

To the House of Allah, pilgrims indeed

ركبنا البحر في طلب المعالي

إلى هنجام دار الأصدقينا

We rode the sea in search of greatness

To Henjam, abode of the sincere

نزلنا عند شيخ القوم أحمد

جواد مقبل للقادمينا

We stayed with Sheikh Ahmad of the people

Generous, welcoming to newcomers

هو ابن عبيد مورد كلّ ضيف

فأكرمنا بعزّ ما بقينا

He is the son of Ubaid, a place for every guest

So he honored us with might, throughout our stay

في نصف لشوال أتانا

صنيع الكفر ميل المشركينا

On the fifteenth of Sha'ban, we were approached

By the heathens' onslaught, the polytheists' tilt

ركبنا فيه نطوي البحر طيّاً

بموج كالجبال فما ارعوينا

We rode therein, crossing the sea folds

With waves like mountains, yet we did not falter

نزلنا في كراجي بعد خمس

وسرنا في الكواري راشدينا

We landed at Karaji after five days

And journeyed in the plains, rightly guided

أتانا مركب يدعى بجدّة

ركبنا فيه جدّة قاصدينا

A ship came to us called Jeddah

We rode in it, Jeddah-bound

فسار بنا بأمواج وريح

وأمطار وكنّا صابرينا

It carried us with waves, winds

And rain, and we were patient

وفي تسع لقعد قد وصلنا

إلى عدنٍ ولسنا نازلينا

On the ninth of Sha'ban, we arrived

At Aden, though we did not disembark

وفي كمران أيضاً قد نزلنا

بلا ضيم ولا ما يعترينا

At Kamran too we landed

Without harm or affliction upon us

وفي عشر واربع قد وصلنا

إلى جدة بلاد المسلمينا

On the fourteenth we reached

Jeddah, city of Muslims

رأينا شدّة من بعد شدّة

وذاك لوعد ربّ العالمينا

We saw hardship after hardship

As promised by the Lord of the Worlds

وذاك أخو قليل بل حقير

لمن بلغوا المنية قاعدينا

That was little, nay mean

Compared to those who reached their end

فقل للعاجزين عن المعالي

إلى كم ذا التواني غافلينا

So say to those helpless towards greatness

To what end is this procrastination, oblivious?

منها قد ركبنا للمطايا

طوينا البيد حقاً سائرينا

From it we rode to camels

Crossed the desert, journeying indeed

وفي بحر نزلنا بعض يوم

قصدنا بعدها البلد الأمينا

And on the sea we landed a day

Then sought the protected city

وفي عشر لقعدة مع ثمان

وصلنا مكّة مستبشرينا

On the tenth of Dhu al-Qi'dah with eight

We reached Mecca, gladdened

وشاهدناه بيت الله حقّاً

وطفنا فيه أسبوعاً يقينا

We saw it, truly Bayt Allah

And circled it a week, certitude

وقبّلنا الحجر وكذا سجدنا

عليه أخ بذلٍّ حامدينا

We kissed the Stone and prostrated

Upon it, a brother in humility

كذاك السعي أتممناه سبعاً

وحلّقنا ومنّا مقصرينا

And the Sa'ee we completed, seven rounds

We shaved our hair, though remiss

شربنا زمزماً وبه اشتفينا

فكم يوم به متضلعينا

We drank Zamzam and were sated

Many a day we drew from it

وخلف مقام إبراهيم حقاً

ركعنا يا إلهي مذعنينا

Behind Maqam Ibrahim truly

We bowed, O my God, obedient

كذا في احجر صلّينا جميعاً

وتحت لوائه متواضعينا

In Al-Hijr too we prayed together

Beneath His banner, humble

فكم باك هناك من البرايا

يسيل الدّمع بين الطائفينا

So many tears flowed there

Between the two hills, pouring

وفي عرفات جمعاً قد وقفنا

فكم فيها دموعاً مسبلينا

At Arafat together we stood

So much tears we shed there

ومزدلفة قصدناها وبتنا

وسبعاً من حصاها لاقطينا

And Muzdalifah we sought and stayed

Gathering pebbles, seven

ونلنا من منى كلّ الأماني

وبتنا في رباها موقنينا

And from Mina we got all we wished

Staying in its environs, certain

رمينا للجمار بأمر ربٍّ

ثلاثاً كلّ يوم مقبلينا

We stoned the Jamarat by God's command

Three times each day, dedicated

ذبحنا هدينا أيضاً جميعاً

وأتممنا المناسك خاضعينا

We slaughtered our sacrifice too, all

Completing the rites, surrendered

قضينا حجنا فرضاً وسنّةً

لأمر الله دوماً طائعينا

We fulfilled our Hajj, obligatory and Sunnah

By God's order, ever compliant

وعدنا سالمين بفضل ربّي

بمحو للخطايا أجمعينا

And returned safely by my Lord's grace

With erasure of sins, all together

وصلنا جدة نرجو نجاحاً

وما زلنا بها متعذبينا

We reached Jeddah, hopeful of success

Though still troubled therein

ركبنا مركباً يدعى شجاعاً

توجهنا كراجى قافلينا

We boarded a ship called Shujaa

Headed to Karaji, caravanning

وصلناها بأمن من ثلاث

من الشهر الذي يطوي السّنينا

We reached it, safe, on the third

Of the month that turns years

ركبنا بأموره منها وعدنا

إلى الأوطان فيه راجعينا

We rode thereon and returned

To homelands, back through it

حططنا الحمل منه في دبي

بلاد المسلمين الأكرمينا

We unloaded our belongings in Dubai

Lands of the most generous Muslims

فقوبلنا بإجلالٍ وعزٍّ

وإكرام يعيي الحاسبينا

We were welcomed with honor and might

And hospitality perplexing the calculators

ومنها قد عبرنا بخاء

جميعاً سالمين وغانمينا

From it we crossed Bu Kha

All safe and prosperous

وتمت والصلاة على محمّد

إمام الرسّل غوث المؤمنينا

It is complete, and blessings upon Muhammad

Imam of messengers, aid of believers

كذاك الآل والأصحاب طرّاً

مع الأنصار ثم التابعينا

And so too his family and companions

With the Ansar, then followers

عدد ما قال عبد ذو افتقار

حمدنا الله ربّ العالمينا

As many as said the poor servant

We praise Allah, Lord of the Worlds
