1. قف بالرفاعة ساعة يا حادي

    واقرأ السلام أهيل ذاك النّادي

    Stop in Al-Rifa‘ah awhile, O camel-driver,

    And convey greetings to the dear folk of that assembly.

  2. واستوعبن سكانها بتحيّة

    فهمو محلّ محبّتي وودادي

    And extend a greeting to all its inhabitants,

    For they are the focus of my love and affection.

  3. واخصص أخي من بينهم بدراً أضا

    قد عم منه النّور كلّ بلاد

    And single out my brother among them, a radiant full moon,

    Whose light has spread through every land.

  4. نجل الفخام مبارك بن عليّ من

    سبق الكرام وفاق كلّ جواد

    Scion of the illustrious, Mubarak bin Ali, who

    Surpassed the noble and outdid every generous man.

  5. حاوي الفضائل ذو المكارم والوفا

    والجود والإحسان والإرشاد

    Possessor of virtues, endowed with noble deeds and fidelity,

    And generosity, benevolence, and guidance.

  6. بحر العلوم وكنز كلّ فضيلة

    سيف بوجه الزّيغ والإلحاد

    An ocean of knowledge and a treasury of every virtue,

    A sword in the face of deviation and unbelief.

  7. غيث إذا ضنّ السحاب بفضله

    غوث لكلّ ميّمم مرتاد

    Life-giving rain when the clouds withhold their bounty,

    Succor for every seeker who makes for him.

  8. مذ غلت الأيدي إلى أعناقها

    فيداه قد بسطت بكلّ نجاد

    Since hands were shackled to their necks,

    His two hands have been outstretched in every upland.

  9. أوسدّت الأبواب عن أضيافها

    فمحلّه قد حف بالورّاد

    Or when doors were shut against their guests,

    His dwelling was thronged with visitors.

  10. تلقاه رحباً للوفود إذا بدت

    فرحاً بها من رائح أو غادي

    You find him welcoming to delegations when they appear,

    Delighted with them, whether they come in the evening or morning.

  11. بثراكمو أهل الرّفاعة فزتمو

    بجوار هذا الكوكب الوقّاد

    On your soil, people of Al-Rifa‘ah, you have been blessed

    With this blazing star as your neighbor.

  12. شهم تقلد بالعلوم جميعها

    وقد ارتدى بالحلم والإرفاد

    A noble man, adorned with all branches of learning,

    And robed in forbearance and beneficence.

  13. لله من ساد الكرام مكانة

    فعلاً على الأقران والأضداد

    God be praised for him who surpasses the noble in rank,

    Truly above his peers and adversaries.

  14. يا من يريد سعادة الدارين لذ

    بجنابه فتفوز بالأسعاد

    O you who desire happiness in both worlds, take refuge

    At his side, and you shall attain good fortune.

  15. فدبي قد شرّفت به وأهليها

    اعترفوا بسؤدده بلا ترداد

    For Dubai has been honored by him, and its people

    Have acknowledged his preeminence without hesitation.

  16. بمبارك زهت الرفاعة وارتقت

    رتباً رفيعات بلا تعداد

    Through Mubarak, Al-Rifa‘ah has flourished and risen

    To lofty ranks beyond counting.

  17. هو مورد العلماء والأدباء قد

    شهدت له بالفضل كل بلاد

    He is the watering place for scholars and men of letters; indeed,

    Every land has borne witness to his excellence.

  18. هو في الحديث وسنّة المختار لا

    أحدٌ يدانيهِ وفي الإسناد

    In Hadith and the Chosen One's Sunnah, he has no

    Equal, nor in chains of transmission.

  19. فالله أرجو أن يطيل بقاك يا

    قمراً على كلّ الأماكن بادي

    So I beseech God to prolong your life, O

    Moon visible over every place.

  20. يا ابن الأماجد قد أتتك خريدة

    شحيّة حازت لكلّ سداد

    O son of the illustrious, a maiden poem has come to you,

    Shihhi in origin, possessed of every sound quality.

  21. فانظر إليها بالقبول فإن تنل

    منكم قبولاً ذاك كل مرادي

    So look upon it with acceptance; for if it gains

    Your acceptance, that is all I desire.

  22. ثم الصّلاة على النبي وآله

    والصحب والأتباع والأسياد

    Then blessings upon the Prophet and his family,

    And the Companions, followers, and masters,

  23. ما قال معترف بنقص مقاله

    قف بالرّفاعة ساعةٍ يا حادي

    As long as one who admits his words' shortcomings says:

    Stop in Al-Rifa‘ah awhile, O camel-driver.
