    وحق الشاة مهضوم الجناب

    When have sheep ever won justice from wolves,

    while the sheep’s right is held in contempt?

  2. أترجوا الحق من قاضيك خصما

    ونور الحق عنده كالسراب

    Do you hope for justice from your judge when he is your adversary,

    while to him the light of truth is like a mirage?
