1. أرجع سهامك للكنانه

    فالحر لا يخشى زمانه

    Return your arrows to the quiver,

    For the free man does not fear his time.

  2. أردد لغمدك سيفه

    يا دهر والزمه مكانه

    Return his sword to your scabbard,

    O Time, and keep it in its place.

  3. أنا من علمت قراعه

    فيهم وأحرمك اللبانة

    I am he whose combat you have known

    among them, and I deny you your wish.

  4. تغرس جنانا بالسها

    م متى رميت بها جنانه

    You plant gardens with arrows

    whenever you shoot them at his heart.

  5. مهما تناهض مثله

    غلا وأعلى الله شأنه

    However much you oppose his like,

    He grows in worth, and God exalts his standing.

  6. فالق السلاح أمامه

    وارجع سهامك للكنانه

    So lay down your weapons before him,

    And return your arrows to the quiver.
