1. أنا يمني الهوى والطبيعه

    ترابي تراب الأماني البديعه

    I am Yemeni in love and nature.

    My soil is the soil of wondrous hopes.

  2. زرعت الشباب عليه هدى

    وأخصبت فيه حقولًا مريعه

    I planted youth upon it as guidance,

    And made fields fertile and lush within it.

  3. وسرت عليه هوى معشبا

    يبرعم فوق رباه ضلوعه

    And I walked upon it as verdant love,

    Whose ribs bud above its hills.

  4. ويزهر في كل جدب منى

    ويشرق في كل أفق طليعه

    And hopes blossom in every barren place,

    And a vanguard shines on every horizon.

  5. هو اليمن الخير مثوى الجمال

    تغنَّى به الدهر غنَّى ربوعه

    It is bountiful Yemen, the abode of beauty;

    Time sang its praises, sang of its lands.

  6. نُسبتُ إليه فقلبي أغان

    ترتل فيه المعاني الوديعه

    I belong to it, so my heart is songs

    Chanting gentle meanings within it.

  7. وأورق بالحب دربي الجميل

    وفاضت شبابًا خطاي السريعه

    And my beautiful path grew leafy with love,

    And my swift steps overflowed with youth.

  8. دموعي فؤاد على مقلتيه

    يحل هواه . . ويرعى دموعه

    My tears are a heart upon its eyes;

    Its love dwells there and tends its tears.

  9. ويقضة روحي على منكبيه

    صباح من المجد يذكي شموعه

    And my soul's awakening upon its shoulders

    Is a morning of glory that kindles its candles.

  10. تسيل دمي كبرياء النضال

    لتشمخ فيه جباه رفيعه

    The pride of struggle makes my blood flow,

    So that lofty foreheads may rise proudly within it.
