My Lord, honor me with pardon

Lord, honor me with a pardon

From You; I seek nothing else.

From You, I desire nothing else;

إنَّ عفواً منك أرجو

حيثُ أحيا في حماهُ

حيثُ أحيا في حماهُ

Indeed, I hope for pardon from You,

Indeed, a pardon from You I seek,

Where I live within its shelter.

Wherein I may live within its shelter.

ياإلهي لا تذقنـي

ياإلهي لا تذقنـي

من عـذابٍ لن أراهُ

من عـذابٍ لن أراهُ

O my God, do not make me taste

O my God, do not make me taste

Any torment that I shall not see.

Of a torment I shall never see.

منيتـي غفرانُ ذنبٍ

منيتـي غفرانُ ذنبٍ

كفرُ قلبٍ قد جناهُ

كفرُ قلبٍ قد جناهُ

My wish is forgiveness of a sin

My sole wish is the forgiveness of a sin,

That a heart's disbelief has wrought.

The disbelief of a heart that committed it.

نجني من هَوْلِ يومٍ

نجني من هَوْلِ يومٍ

زدتُ قرباً من مـداهُ

زدتُ قرباً من مـداهُ

Save me from the terror of a day

Deliver me from the terror of a Day

Whose reach I have drawn closer to.

To whose horizon I have grown ever closer.

ربِّ، اجعل لي مقاماً

ربِّ، اجعل لي مقاماً

في جـنانٍ مستواهُ

في جـنانٍ مستواهُ

My Lord, grant me an abode

My Lord, grant me a station

Whose place is in gardens,

Situated within the Gardens of Paradise,

فيه عيشٌ من نعـيمٍ

فيه عيشٌ من نعـيمٍ

بيتُ خُلْـدٍ منتهاهُ

بيتُ خُلْـدٍ منتهاهُ

Within it is a life of bliss,

Wherein lies a life of boundless bliss,

Its ultimate end, an eternal home.

An eternal home as its final destiny.
