What are these generous ones, whose concord is discord?

What virtues beyond their peers, though diverse their traits

Diverse in qualities, one description unites them.

United in one, a composite portrait they create

على اليمين والشمال النصفُ

على اليمين والشمال النصفُ

وربع قدام وربع خلفُ

وربع قدام وربع خلفُ

Half are to the right and left,

The right and the left make up the halves

And a quarter in front, and a quarter behind.

With a quarter upfront and a quarter behind

إذا امتُرِي من بعضهنّ خِلفُ

بلّك منها ما به تجفُّ

When a teat of some of them is milked,

When one lags, by the others she's realigned
