Let your gaze roam and look out: do you know
Travel with your gaze and look around, do you know
whence lightning flashed at Wajrah, snatching sight?

It flashed in a stolen instant, then closed its eye late at night,
It crept stealthily then closed its eyes pretending
while upon the saddles were eyes that never blinked.
While gazers over the saddlebags do not blink

My friends yearn for it to shine though around them
hangs a darkened veil from night's encompassing cloak.

Passion awakened the slumbering ones, the bird of separation flew to them
the birds of parting as ill omens, and they augured ill.

Among the noble women at al-Ghada is a woman of Sa'd:
Like a gazelle, if she were to be hunted with trickery
descriptions run out, but her beauty remains beyond description.

Like a white gazelle—if she could be caught by a ruse—
A white dune on which she sits then a smooth stalk lifts her
and the full moon, except that she is never eclipsed.

A fair woman whom a soft sand dune seats
Water that heals, and a softness that caresses
at times, and a slender wand raises upright.

A necklace from Zarud, and from Tihama, wafting aroma
are water shining through and a swaying ban tree.
She leans against the loins of the enemy of her people

the two necks of Zarud and a wilderness of Tihamah.

I marveled at the night traveler and what she braved.
I have concealed her flirtations from the slanderers

And the bard sang of it
though her dwelling was a target for their arrows.

That night stay, and that halt was chaste
the veil told of her through it, and the bordered cloak sang.

The valleys of bounty brim, but before them lies
Honor fattens while livelihood scrapes by
humiliation; though thirsty, I will not sip a drop.
And wealth is most insignificant that reputations are lost protecting it

A character I was born to: it was an innate disposition,
If you are free, and a face bleeds
while honor grows fat and livelihood grows lean.

Wealth is too paltry for you to squander, to preserve it,
Of honor that has passed, and for all wealth, there is one who abandons it
if you are free, your face's water, drained away.
And if you meet glory, accompany its people

So ride honor's wing: you cannot replace
And frequent it, for you are known by those you frequent
honor once lost, while every fortune has a replacement.

Beneath my sides, how much heartache to visit you,
And if you suspect, my mouth can swear to you about that
blazing, and how much wind of longing rages,
And testify, for there is insight in the face
ومحبةٍand love تصلُbinds الديانةُreligion حبلَهاits cord

and love whose cord religion binds
And if your withdrawal extends to me with your face
between us, its thicket intertwined.
Or view in a way that softens

If you distrust my mouth, many a discerning reading
My aloofness would become intimate, and my wayward ambitions
of my face bears witness for me to this, and swears.
Would be inclusive communities in concord

نحويtoward me بوجهكwith your regard أوor برأيكwith your counsel يعطفُinclines kindly
This being so, if some summons eased my reserve,
And I would refrain from confidence, for my status
inclining toward me with your regard or counsel,
Diminishes, and my visit coveted

همميmy ambitions الشذوذُscattered جوامعاًgathered تتألّفُjoining together
my wild reserve would grow tame, and
And you knew, as does every master of bounty
my scattered ambitions would gather into accord.
That when the greedy weighs heavily, I lighten him
ولزرتُand I would visit عنwith ثقةconfidence فإنfor indeed مكانتيmy standing

I would visit in confidence, for my standing
Not beneath the pressure of need am I placing
is brought near, and my visit is eagerly awaited.
Myself low, nor when asking am I importunate
ولقدand indeed علمتَyou know وكلُّand every مولىlord of نِعمةٍbounty

You know, as does every lord of bounty,
To lead me in shackles of baseness, made easy
that when the greedy man burdens you, I lighten the load.
By good news, and to possess my leash, imposing
لاnot تحتunder ضغطةthe pressure of حاجةٍneed أناI طارحٌam casting

I do not, under the pressure of need, cast
May it distract you, or may her beauty that you received
myself down; nor am I importunate when I ask.
Erase my inadequate praise, borrowed

بِشراًa cheerful welcome ويملكُand owns رقِّيَmy servitude المتلَطِّفُthe gracious one
He leads me like a spare mount, he who lavishes on me
Of wonders is that my father was Chosroes and I
a cheerful welcome; the gracious man owns my servitude.
Among my daughters in eloquence am rough-tongued

She visits you—or what you encounter will efface,
So enjoy her as the ceremony marries her to you
through her beauty, the praise I borrowed in advance.
A virgin whose necklace of pearls is strung for you
ومنand among العجائبwonders أنthat كسرىKisra والديis my father

Among wonders is that Kisra is my father,
Pass the nights eternal, triumphant
while my daughters, in eloquence, are Khindif.
Until her inclination is corrected and imbued

Then savor her, as Mihrjan leads her bridal procession,
The exile did not yearn for the homeland or strive
a virgin whose necklaces' pearls are strung for you.
Wrongfully for the sacred Mecca, cheating and conferring

Outlast the nights, immortal and commanding,
My friend, here is the English translation of the Arabic poem you provided, preserving the meaning and spirit of the original to the best of my ability. Let me know if you need anything else!
until their crookedness is straightened and set right,
ماas long as حنَّyearns للوطنِfor the homeland الغريبُthe stranger وماand as long as سعىhastens
بحرامِthrough the sanctuary of مكّةَMecca حاصبٌa pebble-casting pilgrim ومعرِّفُand an 'Arafat pilgrim
as long as the stranger yearns for his homeland, and there hastens
through Mecca's sanctuary a stone-caster and one who stands at 'Arafat.
