بِدَولَةِ جَعفَرٍ حُمِدَ الزَمانُ

بِدَولَةِ جَعفَرٍ حُمِدَ الزَمانُ

لَنا بِكَ كُلَّ يَومٍ مِهرَجانُ

لَنا بِكَ كُلَّ يَومٍ مِهرَجانُ

Under Ja'far's rule, the age was praised.

Through you, each day for us is a Mihragan festival.

جَعَلتُ هَدِيَّتي لَكَ فيهِ وَشياً

جَعَلتُ هَدِيَّتي لَكَ فيهِ وَشياً

وَخَيرُ الوَشى ما نَسجَ اللِسانُ

وَخَيرُ الوَشى ما نَسجَ اللِسانُ

On that occasion, I made brocade my gift to you;

And the finest brocade is what the tongue has woven.
