Uhud is God's path, the Sinai of the Prophet,
One's path is God's - Sinai of the Prophet,
the Hashemite, and the downfall of idols.
The Hashimite's and the idols' demise.

Its tablets descended in lines of blood
when the two factions fought beside it.
When the two parties contended by it.

The party of guidance marches under Ahmad's banner,
The party of guidance walks with Ahmad's banner,
and Abu Sufyan drives polytheism onward.
While polytheism whips it, led by Abu Sufyan.

So the idolaters' hissing rose, as though within
So the clamor of the polytheists roared as if
those breasts lay a hell of rancor.
In those chests lay hell's hottest blaze.

The lances are shooting stars that hide the skulls
longing urging them toward the watering grounds.
Which nostalgia propels toward rewards.

And the neighing horses champ the bridles of battle,
The howling women chew the thick of fray
and rear when checked, like a serpent.
And flame, by the palm trees, like snakes.

They walk on while the glowing terrain dances
as a mirage dances over a carpet of pearls.
The mirage's dance upon the sand mat.

A chant that is hoarse thunder, and an advance
A rumble is the thunderous herd, and their crawl
like waves over the swelling breasts of the dunes.
Is like the waves above the dunes' mere ghosts.

Their hatreds have furrowed their foreheads,
Their hatreds have wrinkled their brows,
so their foreheads and their armor are alike.
So their foreheads and armors are equal.

The fire of rancor has peered through the windows
The fire of resentments has sparked from the hearths
of jet-black eyes, its blaze burning fiercely.
Of their inflamed eyes, lit up with flames.

It's as if, in each eye, an ember -
dusky, patiently enduring the fires.
Darkly patient over fires - lay.

That is Quraysh: it gathered its allies,
Such are Quraysh, who knit their pacts
and, to its shame, sought help from the Abyssinians,
And - disgraced - sought help from Abyssinians.

They threatened them with separation if they fallback,
so they fought desperately, full of lust.
So they attacked though inconsistent.

Bedouins - if ignorance puffed up

It will recede before the Omnipotent's might.
