أرىَ الكلابَ بشتم الناسِ قد ظُلمتْ

أرىَ الكلابَ بشتم الناسِ قد ظُلمتْ

والكلبُ أحفظُ مخلوقٍ لإحسانِ

والكلبُ أحفظُ مخلوقٍ لإحسانِ

I see that dogs, when used to insult people, have been wronged;

I see that dogs have indeed been wronged by insults directed at people.

For the dog is the creature most mindful of kindness.

And the dog is the creature that best remembers kindness.

فإنْ غضبتَ على شخصٍ لتشتمه

فإنْ غضبتَ على شخصٍ لتشتمه

فقُلْ له أنتَ إنسانٌ ابن انسانِ

فقُلْ له أنتَ إنسانٌ ابن انسانِ

So if you grow angry with someone and wish to insult him,

So if you grow angry with someone, intending to insult him,

Then say to him: You are a human being, the son of a human being.

then say to him, 'You are a human being, son of a human being.'
