قلائدُه من ثغره وحديثه

وإلا فقلْ فيها صنوف لآل

وإلا فقلْ فيها صنوف لآل

His necklaces are made from his mouth and his speech;

His necklaces are from his mouth and his talk

Or else say: in them are pearls of various kinds.

And if not, then say in it types of pearls

وليلتُه من شعره وخماره

وليلتُه من شعره وخماره

وإلا فقلْ فيها ثلاث ليال

وإلا فقلْ فيها ثلاث ليال

And his night is made from his hair and his veil;

And his night from his poetry and his wine

Or else say: in it are three nights.

And if not, then say in it three nights
