حَوَيْتَyou have amassed مِنَof السَّوْءَاتِthe shameful faults مَاthat which لَوْif طَرَحْتَهُyou cast it
عَلَىupon الشَّمْسِthe sun لَمْdid not تَطْلُعْit rises بِكُلِّin every مَكَانِplace
You have amassed such shameful faults that, were you to cast them
You contain so much evil that if cast
Upon the sun, it would not rise anywhere.
Upon the sun, she would never rise again.
وَمَاand not تَرَكَleft الْهَاجُونَthe satirists فِيكَin you بَقِيَّةًa remainder

And the satirists have left nothing in you
The slanderers have spared no shred of you -
For my tongue to dwell upon in satire.
Around their insults shall my tongue now spin.
