جُدْ بِالنَّوَالِ فَرِزْقُ اللَّهِ مُتَّصِلٌ

جُدْ بِالنَّوَالِ فَرِزْقُ اللَّهِ مُتَّصِلٌ

وَلا تَكُنْ عَنْ صَنِيعِ الْخَيْرِ بِاللاهِي

وَلا تَكُنْ عَنْ صَنِيعِ الْخَيْرِ بِاللاهِي

Be generous with gifts, for God's provision is unceasing.

Strive with diligence, for God's bounty is unceasing.

And do not be heedless of doing good.

And distract not yourself from doing good with heedlessness.

فَالْبُخْلُ وَالْجُبْنُ فِي الإِنْسَانِ مَنْقَصَةٌ

فَالْبُخْلُ وَالْجُبْنُ فِي الإِنْسَانِ مَنْقَصَةٌ

لَمْ يَجْنِهَا غَيْرُ سُوءِ الظَّنِّ بِاللَّهِ

لَمْ يَجْنِهَا غَيْرُ سُوءِ الظَّنِّ بِاللَّهِ

For miserliness and cowardice are a defect in a person.

For stinginess and cowardice are but human failings,

Nothing has brought it about but thinking ill of God.

Engendered by naught but ill thoughts of God.
