A night-traveling cloud, its wing aflutter,

It joins its morning journey to its evening journey.

It spends the night in a cradle of broad plains,

Weeping, with an eye that pours out tears,

Much given to laughter, much given to wailing,

Spread across the horizon like a sash,

The shoulders of the winds bear it.
