الصبحُ بادٍ بأفلاكِ السياساتِ
منيرةٌillumined منهُfrom it أرجاءrealms الرياساتِthe leaderships
منيرةٌ منهُ أرجاء الرياساتِ
Dawn is manifest in the spheres of politics;
The dawn blows with the orbits of politics
The realms of leadership are illumined by it.
Illuminating from it the corners of presidencies
حيّhail! البلادَthe land منfrom الخضراءal-Khadra (the Green) فهيَfor she بهthrough it
حيّ البلادَ من الخضراء فهيَ به
للأرضِto the earth أجمعهاall of it وُسطىthe middlemost السماواتِthe heavens
للأرضِ أجمعها وُسطى السماواتِ
Hail the land of al-Khadra, for through it she is
It brings the countries to life with its greenery, so it is for the earth altogether the midpoint of the heavens
To all the earth, the middlemost of the heavens.
Sharper than the eyes of Khashsh, so much so that it germinated from the thickets of ignorance
أَحدّsharpened منfrom أعينeyes خفشٍdim-sighted لَواحظهاher glances
أَحدّ من أعين خفشٍ لَواحظها
حتّىuntil نَبتthey recoiled عنfrom حناديسِpitch-dark nights of الجهالاتِignorance
حتّى نَبت عن حناديسِ الجهالاتِ
It sharpened the glances of her dim-sighted eyes,
Insights and guidance that make blindness sweeten
Until they recoiled from the pitch-dark nights of ignorance.
From the paths of civilization in all states
بَصائرinsights وَهدىand guidance يحلوsweetens (likely intended: clears) العمايةَblindness عَنfrom
بَصائر وَهدى يحلو العمايةَ عَن
سبلِpaths of التمدّنcivilization فيin كلّevery الإيالاتِthe provinces
سبلِ التمدّن في كلّ الإيالاتِ

It contained intentions which its evidence surrounded
The paths of civilization in every province.
As if moons were crowned with halos
حَوىembraced مقاصدaims حاطَتهاencircled them شواهدهاtheir proofs
حَوى مقاصد حاطَتها شواهدها
كَماas تُطوّقُare encircled أقمارٌmoons بهالاتِwith halos
كَما تُطوّقُ أقمارٌ بهالاتِ
It embraced aims encircled by their proofs,
A composition from gathering the days and perfecting them
As moons are ringed with halos.
With the trials of important affairs
تَأليفُa composition منone who حلبَmilked الأيّامthe days أشطُرَهاtheir teats
تَأليفُ من حلبَ الأيّام أشطُرَها
وَحنّكتهand seasoned him تجاريبexperiences المهمّاتِweighty affairs
وَحنّكته تجاريب المهمّاتِ
A work by one who milked the days' teats,
It looked from a high observatory over the plans of settlement, then adorned them with a mirror
And whom experience in weighty affairs has seasoned.
So may God reward him for this workmanship with what
أَطلّlooked down مِنfrom مرقبٍa lookout عالٍlofty علىupon خُططplans of الthe
أَطلّ مِن مرقبٍ عالٍ على خُطط ال
عُمرانcivilization ثمّتthen جلّاهاrevealed them بمرآةِin a mirror
عُمران ثمّت جلّاها بمرآةِ
He looked down from a lofty lookout upon the plans of
He rewards benefactors of deed and intention
Civilization, then revealed them in a mirror.
As long as the dawn records in it, the one who memorializes it
فَاللّهso God يَجزيهِrewards him عَنfor هذاthis الصنيعِthe deed بِماwith what
فَاللّه يَجزيهِ عَن هذا الصنيعِ بِما
يَجزيrewards بهِwith it مُحسنيthose who excel in فعلٍdeed ونيّاتِand intentions
يَجزي بهِ مُحسني فعلٍ ونيّاتِ
So may God reward him for this deed as
The dawn blows with the orbits of politics
He rewards those who excel in deeds and intentions,
ماas long as دامَcontinues ينشدُrecites فيهabout it منwhoever يؤرّخهُdates it
ما دامَ ينشدُ فيه من يؤرّخهُ
الصبحُthe dawn بادٍmanifest بأفلاكin the spheres of السياساتِpolitics
الصبحُ بادٍ بأفلاك السياساتِ
