When she is asked, her answer is a moan!

she points to her chest with her right hand.

    أُعانيه في بيانٍ ودين

    this would not equal what

    I endure in eloquence and faith;

    this would not equal what

I endure from her illness at every moment.

A face that pallor has clothed in beauty,

and some pallor is a beauty that adorns.

For illness has not withered the roses of her cheeks,

nor has sickness quenched the light of her brow,

the faithful messenger of the glad news of my arrival.

And why does she turn away from me today,

with a hidden reproach in her eyes?

like this garment that you wear.
