وَقالوا اِدَّخِر ما حُزتَهُ وَجَمعتَه

وَقالوا اِدَّخِر ما حُزتَهُ وَجَمعتَه

لعَقبِكَ إِنَّ الحَزمَ أَدنى مِن الرشدِ

لعَقبِكَ إِنَّ الحَزمَ أَدنى مِن الرشدِ

And they said, “Store up what you have acquired and gathered

They said, "Save what you have earned and collected

for your descendants; prudence is close to sound judgment.”

For your descendants; prudence is next to wisdom."

فَقُلتُ سَأمضيهِ لِنَفسي ذَخيرَةً

فَقُلتُ سَأمضيهِ لِنَفسي ذَخيرَةً

وَأَجعَلُ رَبّي الذُخرَ لِلأَهلِ وَالولدِ

وَأَجعَلُ رَبّي الذُخرَ لِلأَهلِ وَالولدِ

So I said, “I shall spend it as a treasure laid up for myself,

I said, "I will spend it on myself as provision,

and make my Lord the treasure for my family and children.”

And make my Lord the store for family and children."
