So they are resolute, sparing no effort as they drive
They are determined riders who do not stop however much they are chased away,
the hindmost riding camels; if they do not strike them, they goad them with hooked staffs.
Seeking to mount their steeds again if they do not manage to strike.

If ever the sea of Khindif surges one day,
Whenever the sea of Khindif rages one day,
its waves engulf those who stand in its way.
Its waves will swamp those who stand in its way.
فمَهماso whatever كانَthere may be مِنof خَيرٍgood فَاِنّاthen indeed we
فمَهما كانَ مِن خَيرٍ فَاِنّا

وَرثناها أَوائِلُ أَوَّلينا
So whatever good there may be, we
However much good there was,
have inherited it from the earliest of our forebears.
Our early ancestors inherited it.
وَإِنّاand indeed we مَورِثونَwill bequeath كَماjust as وَرِثناwe inherited
وَإِنّا مَورِثونَ كَما وَرِثنا

And we shall bequeath it, just as we inherited it
And we will bequeath, just as we inherited
from our fathers, to our sons if we die.
From our forefathers, if our sons outlive us.
