إن ذنوبي ربّنا هي العيوب

إن ذنوبي ربّنا هي العيوب

وإنّني مستغفرٌ من الذنوبْ

وإنّني مستغفرٌ من الذنوبْ

Indeed, my sins, our Lord, are the faults.

My sins, O Lord, are my faults

And indeed I seek forgiveness for sins.

And I ask forgiveness for my sins

وطالبٌ منك لتستر العيوبْ

وطالبٌ منك لتستر العيوبْ

مني وأن تشهد مني للغيوبْ

مني وأن تشهد مني للغيوبْ

And I ask You to conceal the faults

And ask You to cover my faults

Of mine, and to bear witness to the unseen within me,

From me and to be absent from my unseen acts

وأن تُحِبّني حُبَّ من يتوبْ

وأن تُحِبّني حُبَّ من يتوبْ

وأن تملّكني جسماً والقلوبْ

وأن تملّكني جسماً والقلوبْ

And to love me as You love one who repents,

And to love me with the love of one who repents

And to take possession of me, body and hearts.

And to have power over my body and heart
