ثلاثٌ فساد الدين عند اتبِّاعها

ثلاثٌ فساد الدين عند اتبِّاعها

وليس لها إلا المذمَّمُ صاحباً

وليس لها إلا المذمَّمُ صاحباً

Three things corrupt religion when followed;

Three things corrupt religion when followed

and none but the blameworthy keeps their company:

And only the despicable would be their companion

فطاعةُ إبليسٍ ونفسٍ وزوجةٍ

فطاعةُ إبليسٍ ونفسٍ وزوجةٍ

فلا تك يا ذا للثلاث مُصاحباً

فلا تك يا ذا للثلاث مُصاحباً

obedience to Iblis, one's own self, and a wife.

Obeying Satan, the self, and the wife

So do not, O you, keep company with the three.

So do not be, O you, a companion of the three
