Rashid, the Imam’s governor, has died—
Khalaf’s son, the departed youth, a scion of the noble.
مضتْhad passed سبعونَseventy عاماًyears بعدafter ألفٍa thousand
مضتْ سبعونَ عاماً بعد ألفٍ
وحولٌand a year بعدهاafter them ياO ابنson of الهُمامِthe valiant man
وحولٌ بعدها يا ابن الهُمامِ
Seventy years had passed beyond a thousand,
And a year after them, O son of the valiant.
